1. 7:00 Present meeting procedures. Welcome newcomers.

OLD BUSINESS
2. 7:10 Approve minutes from May 4, 2009, and June 1, 2009, general membership meetings (available at www.srccaustin.org).
3. 7:20 Status of second-time variance request at 611 Long Bow Lane to "decrease the minimum side street setback ... from 15 feet to 0 feet in order to maintain an attached carport" (C15-2009-0032).
Presenter: Jean Mather, Interim Chair, Zoning & Planning Standing Committee.
4. 7:30 Status of variance request at 310 Terrace Drive "to extend beyond the side setback plane by 1.8 feet" (C15-2009-0068).
Presenter: Craig Grund, neighbor immediately adjacent, & Jean Mather, Interim Chair, Zoning & Planning Standing Committee.

NEW BUSINESS
5. 7:45 Vote to approve new Co-Area Coordinators (who become members of the Executive Committee) as follows:
Area 2: Jack Hostetter (addition)
Area 4b: Cynthia Biggers (addition)
Area 8: Kim Lanzillotti (addition)
6. 7:55 Vote to approve new Chairs/Co-Chairs of the following Standing Committees:
Zoning & Planning: Jean Mather (who has been serving in this capacity forever already; let's make it official!)
Parks, Environment & Schools: David Todd (Parks), Sherri Ancipink (Schools) and Marty Christman (Environment)
7. 8:05 Vote to approve or disapprove festivities and closure of Congress Ave Bridge from 6am Saturday August 22 until 4am Sunday August 23, 2009, for Bat Fest 1pm to midnight.

OTHER BUSINESS/ANNOUNCEMENTS
8. Botticelli's request for an outdoor music venue permit was approved and issued by the City on July 2, 2009 with the following conditions: Amplified sound up to 70 decibels until 9:30pm Sun-Thurs and 10pm Fri-Sat.
9. The SRCC Executive Committee voted in June to divide the estimated $7250 balance in the wrongly named "4th of July" fund (soon to be renamed the "Parks" fund), "in equal parts (50%/50%) to (1) improvement of the Norwood House and (2) improvement to either or both of the following two park projects: (a) gardens flanking the entry sidewalk to Big Stacy Pool; (b) ligustrum removal in Blunn Creek Preserve." SRCC's funds will help match grants that are in the works for each of these projects. Thanks to Wolf Sittler and his Posse for efforts on the former project and to David Todd for his on the latter.
10. Mary Lovell made the following S. Congress news report to SRCC via email, summarized below (thanks, Mary):
--Chase Bank filed for a drive-thru at 1811 S Congress with driveways on E. Mary & S. Congress.
--At Wednesday's (7/8) Avenue Merchants meeting, Bill Gurasich, lessee of the Baptist Church parking lot, announced his proposed boutique hotel will not commence construction in the fall after all, so the mobile food vendors will have month to month options (each side having 60 day notice to quit) after September.
--Home Slice filed for change of use at 1421 & 1423 S. Congress. Word has it they'll rent out former dry cleaner (south) side for retail use & use the sewing machine (north) side for their own take-out service, no dining. --Pink Salon is leaving, stylists all placed at Kelso, Bo or other salons.
--The Moonlight Margarita 5K Run, 8-10pm Thursday, August 6, 2009, to benefit the Town Lake Trail Foundation, along Cesar Chavez between Austin High School and the 1st Street Bridge. There will be some street closures on the north side of the Lake. www.townlaketrail.org for more information.
